2. East Slavic (Russian Татьяна) name, which was derived from the Slavic word tata, cognate with ancient Greek word (τέττᾰ) [tetta], cognate with Latin atta - "daddy; fatherly" explanation - "father's daughter", or derived from Slavic word таить [tait`] - "secretive, cagey", see Tatyana.
3. Comes from the Latin name Tatius the name of ancient mystical king of the Sabines. No meaning.
