Zeb-un-Nisa Makhfī (1637-1702) was the eldest daughter of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb (Alamgir) and a Sufi poet, who wrote under the pen name - “Makhfi” (Hidden one in Persian). Imprisoned by her father, in the last 20 years for her life at Salimgarh Fort, Delhi, Princess Zeb-un-Nissa is fondly remembered as a Sufi and a poet, and her writing were collected posthumously as Diwan-i-Makhfi.
