East Slavic (Russian Лада) hugely popular name means - "harmonious, fine".
Lada was a folkloric Slavic pagan deity of harmony, merriment, youth, love and beauty which almost certainly never existed in the ancient Slavic pantheon. It is perhaps the finest example of misconception, confusion or pure invention caused by romanticized or neo-pagan attempts at reconstruction of old Slavic mythology through unskilled or uncritical meanings of Slavic folklore.
