St Daniel - Biblical great prophet, a descendant of a noble Jewish family. According to the Bible, Daniel had the gift to understand and interpret dreams.

Christianity regards St Daniel as a Saint and as prophet. Judaism considers the Book of Daniel a part of its canon, but does not regard Daniel as a prophet.
