Name Tatiana

There are multiple origins and translations for the name Tatiana:

1. Latin name, feminine form of the name Titus means - "heroic, titanic". Or comes from the Latin name Tatius the name of ancient mystical king of the Sabines.

2. East Slavic (Russian Татьяна) name, which was derived from the Slavic word tata, cognate with ancient Greek word (τέττᾰ) [tetta], cognate with Latin atta - "daddy; fatherly" explanation - "father's daughter", or derived from Slavic word таить [tait`] - "secretive, cagey", see Tatyana.

St Tatiana is revered as holy in the Orthodox and the Roman churches.
